Montenegrin former Anderlecht goalkeeper passed away

OTHER Goalkeeper Matija Sarkic, still in goal with Montenegro against the Red Devils two weeks ago, has died unexpectedly at the age of 26. Sarkic played in youth for Anderlecht, but moved to England at the age of 18. 


It was his club Millwall that announced the tragic news. They are not giving a cause of death, but according to English media he would have suddenly fallen ill. After the internationals, Sarkic stayed in Montenegro. There he became unwell. His friends immediately notified the emergency services, but in vain. .
