Anderlecht has most Belgian players in starting eleven

OTHER Anderlecht currently have the highest average number of Belgians in the base, with 6.3. With Debast, Vertonghen, Sardella, Stroeykens, Hazard (or Verschaeren or Amuzu) and Rits, it also boasts a high number of home-grown Belgian players. As such, it does slightly better than KV Mechelen (6.0). OH Leuven follows in third place with 5 players.


The next play-off 1 team is Club Brugge in fifth place (4.6). Union is even last of all first division sides with just 1.8. Racing Genk are not doing much better and are two places higher than Union with 2.2. Antwerp, in turn, is seventh; Cercle Brugge tenth.
