"Not paying 5 million for a defender"

INTERVIEWS Jesper Fredberg is currently working hard to bring in an additional defender, but it is not a simple matter. He tells Het Nieuwsblad. "We want someone who is immediately deployable if needed, but also accepts that he will be on the bench when Debast and Vertonghen are fit."

Fredberg also indicates that Anderlecht is not storming the transfer market with a fat wallet this winter. "We are not going to pay 5 million for a defender," he indicates.

Fujii

Japanese forward Haroya Fujii was linked with Anderlecht in December, but he signed with KV Kortrijk this week. "It's true that we followed him, but at the end we took a step back," Fredberg said. "I am curious to see how he will do at Kortrijk. We are working on other profiles."
