OTHER Zeno Debast had an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt for a transfer last summer. This is what Het Laatste Nieuws writes today. However, the German club's offer was too low, so Anderlecht did not let him leave. But Frankfurt is not giving up: next summer it will make another attempt.
Debast said it on Friday when he was introduced as godfather of supporters' club New Saint-Guidon: "For a transfer, both clubs and the player must be satisfied." It is now becoming clear that by this he means that Anderlecht did not accept the offer they received for the defender.
According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Frankfurt wanted to pay seven million euros for Debast last summer. Via all kinds of bonuses, that amount could rise to ten million euros. Insufficient, judged Anderlecht. They wanted at least fifteen million euros.
Next summer, Frankfurt will again come knocking at the door for Debast. The defender himself does not see a transfer in the winter, he said Friday.
