Ure gives Futures first win in eight matches

GAMES The RSCA Futures finally managed to win again. In the basement duel against KV Oostende, the young Anderlecht guard made it 1-2. Nilson Angulo (pictured) and Robbie Ure scored for purple and white.


The RSCA Futures experienced a dream start. After barely two minutes, Nilson Angulo scored after a rehearsed number off a corner kick. The third goal of the season for the Ecuadorian. A few minutes later it was again a winner, but this time the purple and white goal was disallowed for offside. Halfway through the first half, Ostend equalized after a nice individual move by Robbie D'Haese. On the stroke of half-time Lucas Lissens almost benefited from the loss of the ball, but goalkeeper Liam Bossin (ex-Anderlecht) saved.

A little past the hour, the Futures took the lead again. Shot Robbie Ure scored in his first starting spot. Oostende threatened afterwards with headers from D'Arpino and Tanghe, but the Anderlecht youngsters held firm, something that didn't succeed in the past duels. Apparently, they are starting to learn, because on X, KVO wrote "The visitors are dropping like flies and using all the tricks of the foor to slow down the game. Gaining experience, I guess it's called?

With this win, the RSCA Futures now count nine points, taking some space from the relegation places. Penultimate Lierse, who will soon play against Deinze, now counts four fewer points. Next week, RSCA Futures will visit straggler SL16 FC, Standard's youngsters.
