U21 eliminated in Belgian Cup

RSC Anderlecht's U21 are eliminated in the Belgian Cup. They lost their quarter final against Genk with 3-2. With the break it was already 3-0 for the Limburgers. In the second half, Mathis Suray scored twice for the Purple & White, but it didn't get any further. Read more »

Zakaria Bakkali came in for Marco Pjaca 25 minutes before time. He showed some nice dribbles and finally put the 6-1 final score on the scoreboard. Yet he said not to be fully fit and to work hard to get fully up to level. Bakkali also does not give up Play-Off 1 yet. Read more »

Anderlecht get well deserved point in Ghent

Anderlecht played 1-1 after a good game in Ghent. After a strong first half hour the Purple & White scored via another goal from Colassin. Ghent immediately came aside through a penalty. In the second half both teams were given a few chances, but the necessary sharpness in finishing was lacking. Anderlecht delivered an excellent performance and remained at least the equivalent of Ghent until the end. Possibly an important point in the fight for play-off 1.  Read more »

Philippe Close had to defend his mandate at the board of directors of RSC Anderlecht at the Brussels city council. Close clarified that he mainly assumed the mandate to bring the club closer to the Brussels neighborhoods and the youth present there and that he has no financial advantage with the mandate.  A weak Anderlecht won 1-2 at the last minute on the field of Cercle Brugge. Only deep in the second half could Purple White reach the same level. The substitute Vlap still gave Anderlecht the unexpected victory in the added time. Anderlecht will remain in the running for play-off 1, but this performance will be the last wake-up call that Purple White can afford. Read more »
