Doku getting closer to City (and Anderlecht at 5 million euros)

OTHER A transfer of Jérémy Doku from Rennes to Manchester City is getting closer. And that is a good thing for Anderlecht. After all, when Purple & White sold Doku three years ago, it stipulated 15 percent on the added value if Rennes were to sell it.


Doku was only a substitute at Rennes last weekend. "Someone who was our best player last week and is not kicking off now ... I leave it to you to draw conclusions," said Rennes coach Bruno Génésio.

There is talk of a possible transfer fee of 55 to 60 million euros. That is more than twice what Rennes paid Anderlecht for Doku at the time. The Purple & White then collected 24 million euros. Suppose Manchester City now pays 60 million euros, then about 5 million euros will flow to Anderlecht.
