Fans and players of Independiente are angry

The fans and players of Argentinian side Independiente are angry after the move of their star player Nicolas Frutos to Anderlecht. He scored 19 times in 28 games and was topscorer in the Argentinian league.


"We are still in the run for the title. And then this happens...", complained captain Lucas Puserini. Anderlecht have paid 2.5 million euros for the striker, but only 300,000 euros will go to Independiente. A private group of Independiente-chairman Julio Comparada is the owner of Nicolas Frutos.
