Roger Vanden Stock repeated that he wants to play in a larger stadium yesterday. Jacques Simonart, the burgomaster of Anderlecht, does not want to co-operate on this plan.

"Anderlecht has a stadium with 26,000 seats. They want one with 40,000 seats. That is not possible on the current location. And a move to Neerpede is out of the question."

"I heard Anderlecht want to rebuild the King Boudewijn stadium with the Belgian Football Federation. But I want to put straight that the concession for the stadium still runs until 2030 or 2040. The team has to keep its promises."

That means that they will have to maintain this stadium until that time. Vanden Stock did not want to react.
