Kompany out for game vs. Liverpool

Vincent Kompany will not be able to play against Liverpool. His back injury is healing quite fast, but he is not entirely fit yet. However, Hannu Tihinen and Serhat Akin are ready to play again.


"I will not say a date on which Vincent Kompany will play again", stated coach Franky Vercauteren. "He does not feel any pain anymore, but that does not mean he is able to play. He is rehabilitating."

Kompany will undergo medical tests on Friday. Vercauteren wants to test him first with the reserves team. He will probably miss the clash against Club Bruges.
