Anderlecht seeks new shirt sponsor

TRANSFERS During the last FancCouncil at Anderlecht, CEO Non Sports Kenneth Bornauw announced to supporters that RSC Anderlecht is looking for a new main sponsor to appear on the shirts next season. The current sponsorship of Candriam and DVV expires in June 2024. However, due to the future ban on gambling advertising, the market is limited.


Finding a suitable partner is no easy task due to the requirements of loyalty and competition with other clubs. The new jerseys are likely to be unveiled during Fanday on July 20, 2024. Although the exact value of the contract will not be disclosed, it is estimated that the annual amount is between 2.5 and 5 million euros.

Anderlecht needs to make a good long-term choice right away, although the current sporting situation speaks in their favor (second place and European soccer prospects). Nevertheless, it will be made more complex by new legislation banning gambling advertising on shirts from Jan. 1, 2025. In fact, after Dec. 31, 2027, gambling advertising will be banned altogether.
