Internationals review: Degreef scores important goal

OTHER On the last day of the international break, several Anderlecht players still came into action. The balance: three defeats, two draws and only one victory. But that victory came thanks to a goal scored by an Anderlecht player. An overview.


The Belgian U19 have qualified as group winners for the Elite Round of the European Championship 2024 after a 1-0 victory against Northern Ireland. Tristan Degreef (pictured) scored the only goal Like Lars Montegnies, he played the entire match. Ismael Baouf remained on the bench. The young Devils now await an Elite round. In it, 28 countries compete for seven tickets to the European Championship.

Belgium's U21 played a 1-1 draw against Spain. Killian Sardella played the whole match and received a yellow card. Mario Stroeykens came on after 65 minutes. 

The Norwegian U21 lost 2-0 to Turkey today. Kristian Arnstad played the whole match.

Majeed Ashimeru's Ghana suffered an embarrassing 1-0 defeat at Comoros in its second qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup. Ashimeru came on after 65 minutes.

Amadou Diawara and Guinea also went down 1-0. They lost to Botswana. Diawara played 82 minutes and received a yellow card.

The Argentina U23 played 0-0 draw in a practice match against Japan. Luis Vazquez was also allowed to play.
