Lots of surprises in selection for cup game

GAMES Anderlecht has just announced a selection of eighteen players for tonight's cup game against La Louvière. No less than seven familiar names are not here. In their place we find Benito Raman, among others, but also three youngsters from the Futures core.


Brian Riemer already announced on Saturday after the game against OH Leuven that some players would get rest and he keeps his word. Don't look for Schmeichel, Vertonghen, Augustinsson, Rits, Leoni, Stroeykens and Amuzu tomorrow. They will follow the match at home in front of television.

This leaves room in the selection for youngsters Lucas Lissens, Tristan Degreef and Luca Monticelli (pictured). Benito Raman may also return to action.

Goalkeepers: Dupé, Coosemans

Defenders: Patris, Sardella, Debast, Lissens, N'Diaye

Midfielders: Delaney, Diawara, Arnstad, Flips, Degreef, Monticelli, Hazard, Dreyer

Strikers: Dolberg, Vazquez, Raman
