OTHER Anderlecht have announced the departure of Robin Veldman this afternoon. The Dutchman worked for Anderlecht for two years. "The club has embarked on a new path since January. Such a process also involves sometimes difficult decisions," explained CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg.
"After a few talks with Robin at the end of this season, we decided not to continue the cooperation," Fredberg said. "That does not alter the fact that we have always appreciated Robin's commitment, so we wish him all the best for the future."
Veldman himself also responded briefly to his farewell to purple and white: "I would like to thank all the supporters, colleagues and players for a great period at RSC Anderlecht. Working with the great talents of this club was a privilege and I will always cherish that."
On Instagram, Veldman posted a post with some pictures of his time at Anderlecht. "With pride," he wrote with them, followed by a purple heart.
Veldman may soon join Ajax, the club where he also worked before coming to Anderlecht in the summer of 2021.
