New football law approved

OTHER The new football law has been approved by the Home Affairs Committee. The penalties are seriously increasing, new is a minimum penalty in case of racism, a €1,500 fine and a 30-month stadium ban.


Racism will thus receive the same penalties as for use of Bengal fire. In case of repeat and persistent supporters, the punishment will only get harsher.

Furthermore, from now on, stewards and security officers are allowed to ask for the identity card at an entry control both at national and international matches.
