"I hope number 10 is a positive boost for everyone"

INTERVIEWS From now on, Yari Verschaeren shows off his number ten, he received the first copy from teammate and friend, Hannes Delcroix. That the number brings extra pressure is not the case for Verschaeren, although he realizes what the number means at RSC Anderlecht.


"I know very well what that number stands for at Anderlecht, but I'm not going to put extra pressure on myself. It was the club that suggested it, I never asked for that number myself. But of course it's an honor to be in the list of Anderlecht's number ten. I especially hope it will be a positive boost for everyone," Verschaeren said.

"It's only a number in the end, although I realize that I should have been much further on in my development. Two bad ankle injuries decided otherwise. But I am still only twenty and can already be very happy with what I have achieved. I've been through a lot in that period, and I've seen about eight managers here. And we have also been through a few difficult periods. But I'm sure those are all things I'm learning from now to help me in the future."
