INTERVIEWS Shortly after his substitution, Benito Raman deepened the score to 0-6 with two goals. He did not cheer. His love for his former club is too big for that. Which does not take away from the fact that he was very happy with his goals. "The fact that Kouamé is going to the Africa Cup can become a fortune for me," he said.

"The score could have been even higher. The last 25 minutes we just played the ball around and didn't create the chances we could have. Normally it had to be eight, nine or then against zero. We didn't do that and maybe that's the only thing that's not so good. But when you win 0-7, you can't complain," the striker said in front of the press microphones.

"We knew that if we scored quickly, it would be easier for us. After that red card, the match was played. From the start it was clear that the chances were on the right. The first ten minutes we couldn't find it, but then things started to improve. When we let them run and changed sides, it became very difficult for them. We played it out nicely."

Currently, everything is good at Anderlecht. "A month ago we were still taken down by everyone and it wasn't good enough. We were making stupid mistakes and not scoring. Now we're six weeks later, we didn't lose, we recorded the biggest win away from home and we're in the semi-finals of the cup. Things can turn quickly."

Anderlecht has also been playing with the same team for the last few weeks. "That makes it easier. Everyone knows his tasks. It's the first time we've played with the same team for five, six weeks. For some players that's a bit more annoying. Like for me, having to come in all the time. From the beginning of my career, I've been a super sub. That's not always nice, but if, like now, I score twice, give an assist or am decisive, then it doesn't really matter. Of course I want to play every minute, just like every player, but that's not possible. Maybe without my red card I would not have left the team. The fact that Kouamé is going to the Africa Cup could be lucky for me. Although there are other candidates to replace him."

"It hurts to see that things are going so badly for Beerschot. I hope they can still force something after New Year and maybe stay in first division."
