INTERVIEWS The chance that Nacer Chadli can still be admired in the Anderlecht shirt next season is getting smaller every day. AS Monaco, the club from which Anderlecht rents Chadli, does not seem inclined to sit around the table with the Purple & White before the European Championship. The Monegasks hope that next summer's European Championship will boost the market value of Chadli.

Michael Verschueren realizes that Chadli may be playing his last games at Lotto Park. "The transfer fee will have to be cheap if we want to bind him to us definitively," says Verschueren.

The wage is also a potential stumbling block for Anderlecht. The Red Devil earns around 230,000 euros per month at Monaco. The chance that Chadli wants to give up much of that wage seems very small. The Canadian Montreal Impact, active in the Major Soccer League and trained by former Monaco coach Thierry Henry, has already shown interest.

Chadli, who turns 31 next summer, was good for 7 goals and 5 assists in 16 games this season. In recent weeks the left winger has been struggling with some physical ailments.
