Sam wanted a heavy salary

TRANSFERS For a long time it looked like Sydney Sam would get a contract with RSC Anderlecht. Even photos of the German were already circulating with Michaël Verschueren on which both held the purple-white shirt. But the deal was off. Reason: Sam demanded too much.
 


The German wanted a heavy salary and a contract for longer than one season. Given Sam's injury susceptibility, RSC Anderlecht did not want that. "After a long consultation, the management of RSC Anderlecht unanimously decided not to offer Sidney Sam a contract because of other priorities in its search for reinforcement," said Purple & White.
