Verschueren: "Agreement with AEK about Vranjes"

INTERVIEWS Ognjen Vranjes is now very close to a departure from Anderlecht. At the Greek Sport24, Michael Verschueren confirms tonight that there is an agreement between Anderlecht and AEK about Vranjes. "If everything goes well, we'll sign the contract tomorrow."


Vranjes has been linked to a return to his previous club for many weeks. The financial picture, however, caused problems. AEK will now rent Vranjes without a purchase option.

"Anderlecht and AEK have an agreement", says Verschueren. "If all goes well, we'll sign the contract tomorrow and Vranjes will travel to Athens on Thursday. It's a loan without a purchase option."

The new AEK coach Miguel Cardoso had his doubts about Vranjes, but he decided to go for him. Cardoso did not doubt the sporting qualities of the defender, but his character and behavior.
