OTHER Mohammed Dauda has closed his (perhaps) last game at Vitesse with a red card. In the return game of the pla-off matches for European football, he fell in at halftime. When the game was decided, Dauda lost the ball and reacted to his frustration with a heavy tackle on Simon Gustafson's ankle.

Vitesse lost with 0-2 to Utrecht. The first game ended in 1-1. So Utrecht can play next season in the preliminary rounds of the Europa League. That will be with John van den Brom. The former Anderlecht coach will switch from AZ to Utrecht this summer.

Dauda has been on loan at Vitesse since the end of January. The Dutch club had a purchase option of three million euros, but will not use it.
