Vranjes stayed at home at the request of the police

OTHER That Ognjen Vranjes was absent last week for the European match against Dinamo Zagreb was not merely a decision by Anderlecht. The Croatian police had requested Anderlecht to leave Vranjes at home. The police feared that Vranjes' presence would cause problems.


In the past Vranjes already went into the clinch with the Dinamo supporters.  To prevent riots, the Croatian police asked Anderlecht not to take Vranjes with them. Anderlecht responded positively to this
