Anderlecht fined for fan on the pitch

OTHER The Disputes Committee has fined both Anderlecht and Kortrijk 2,000 euros because a Anderlecht fan stormed on the pitch during the game between both clubs. The Federal Prosecutor demanded a sanction of 4,000 euros, but it finally was half of it.


As organizing team KV Kortrijk was blamed for a faulty organization of safety. Anderlecht was penalized because its stewards could not prevent this.

Luc Deleu, Anderlecht's lawyer, argued, however, that purple-white had deployed sufficient stewards and they listened. That is why Anderlecht did not get 4,000 euros, but only a 2,000 euro fine.
