Van Holsbeeck new chairman Pro League?

OTHER In March Herman Van Holsbeeck and Marc Coucke will have a conversation about the future of the first one at Anderlecht. The chance that Van Holsbeeck stays, however, seems small. Antwerp offers him a job, but he may refuse it. In the meantime Van Holsbeeck also has received the proposal to become chairman of the Pro League.


Marc Coucke repeatedly criticized the transfer policy that Anderlecht had this winter. Van Holsbeeck, however, insists that there was no money "to rent five Mitrovic" because of agreements with Coucke made about the expenses this winter. In view of Coucke's statements, chances are little that Van Holsbeeck will work under him.

Antwerp already made a proposal to the Anderlecht manager, but the presence of Paul Gheyssens at the Great Old is difficult. Gheyssens was in the last few months opposed to Roger Vanden Stock in the stadium file and Van Holsbeeck wants to remain loyal to the outgoing Anderlecht chairman anyway.

However, Vanden Stock also stops as chairman of the Pro League. At first he thought of Ivan De Witte as his successor, but the AA Gent chairman thanked for the offer. That is why the question was asked to Van Holsbeeck. He doesn't say no this function. But yesterday in Extra Time Coucke told that he is also considering to stand as a candidate for the Pro League.
