Hasi: "We do train on automatism"

INTERVIEWS Besnik Hasi surprisingly started the season in a 4-4-2 formation but this was no success at all. The coach now explains why he choose for that system.

"I was looking for a way to put Leander Dendoncker, Youri Tielemans, Steven Defour and Dennis Praet in the same team. I also wanted to compensate Aleksandar Mitrovic' leave, who scored twenty goals in one season."

Besnik Hasi often gets the critic that his players are not training in a clear system. "Do you really think we are not training on automatism and a clear and easy formation? If the opponent puts pressure it is difficult for any team, even for Bruges or Ghent."

"We often played poor before the winter break because of a lack of motivation. Some players also were not at their best." Dennis Praet is one of these players. "He has an exhausting play style, you need to be at your best to be able to play like him. However, the difference between a good and a bad match, is a world of difference for Praet."
