INTERVIEWS Andy Kawaya joined Dutch side Willem II on loan trial after New Year, but he only played seventy minutes in five matches. The striker sure had expected for more, and it looks like he should not have high hopes for the future.

Max van der Put, sports journalist at Brabants Dagblad, explains why Kawaya does not get a lot of play time. "Willem II had two wingers, Bruno Andrade and Tereli Ondaan, who were both injured for a long period. That's the reason why they signed Andy Kawaya and Guus Hupperts from AZ. The last games, Hupperts played together with Lucas Andersen, who was signed on loan trial from Ajax."

"Andrade and Ondaan have fully recovered and given the alternatives for the position of Andy, I do not believe he will have a lot of play time in the future. It will be exciting to see if he can still make it in the selection for the next match, with all the players coming back."

"Andy Kawaya hasn't made a fantastic impression yet, but he didn't get a lot of opportunities either. I suppose the technical staff thinks the other players in the squad are better than him."
