"I only go to Anderlecht if they really want me"

"They transfer doesn't depend on me, Anderlecht really have to want me." Mbo Mpenza doesn't play for Anderlecht yet. "I only go to Anderlecht if they really want me", says Mpenza.


"If I notice that there are people who don't want me, I'd rather like to go to another team." Also Portsmouth, the team of Mornar, are interested in Mpenza. "I haven't heard a thing about that. I would like to play in the Premier League, but Anderlecht is a better team than Portsmouth. That's the most important argument to me."

Mbo doesn't take a decision about his future yet. "Whatever may happen, I don't sign anything before the match between the Netherlands and Belgium. I want to stay focussed." But he doesn't want to stay in Mouscron. "I have no problem with Mouscron, but I want to play for an ambitious team. We see players leaving, Leekens has left, though Saint-Jean is a good coach. Everyone has questions. It wouldn't be easy for me to stay there."
