Kouyaté: "Anderlecht was the most concrete"

Cheikhou Kouyaté trained for the first time with Anderlecht on wednesday. There were other teams lurking for the 18-year old middfielder. "Arsenal has scouted me, and there were other clubs as well" so says Kouyaté.



"Anderlecht was the club with the most concrete proposal, and it's a big club as well. This is a big step for me. My talent is that I can make a team play better, but I will have to work hard for my place in the first eleven. I kow that I can learn a lot from Ariël Jacobs as well".

Kouyaté will first have to find his form again. "Do to an injury and the way my transfer was made, I haven't played a match in 3 months. I have kept in shape thanks to an individual trainingscheduale, but that's not the same as playing matches of course".
