20 million euros for Kompany

Anderlecht announced that the 17-year old Vincent Kompany has to cost at least 20 million euro. "Because there's so much demand, we want to let everyone know that he won't leave for less than 20 million euros", said Van Holsbeeck.


"It's likely that some rich club chairman wants to offer this amount of money", said the manager. "But still we will insist that he stays another year in Brussels. Vincent also says that is the best solution." This price, 20 million euro, is the yearly budget of Anderlecht.

The young Kompany already said several times that he first wants to finish off grammar school. That would be one more season. Still, it can go very fast if some teams offer a lot of money. "We also are aware of that", says coach Hugo Broos. "That's why we are also looking for a central defender, in case Kompany would leave."
