Anderlecht beat Cercle in Cup

Anderlecht qualified for the 1/8 final of the Belgian Cup after beating Cercle Brugge. The Mauves played a weak first half and the score after 45 minutes was 0-0.


In the second half, RSCA put pressure on Cercle and scored with a nice shot of Baseggio. From then on, the Mauves dropped the pace and Cercle could strike back through Berthé. Anderlecht took control over the game again and Crasson headed the 1-2 in the goal after a far corner kick of Hendrikx. In the final minutes, Zane launched a counter-attack and centered for Baseggio, who easily made the 1-3.
