Franky Vercauteren: "It was a very exciting topper. Bruges played agressive before the break, but we played better in the second half. It's the second match this season that we've lost.

It's only a pitty we couldn't win against Bruges and Standard."

Hugo Broos: "It's a bad case we lost points, because I would like to take a 19-points lead. And losing always hurts. But the pitch of Bruges wasn't good either. Because of that, we couldn't bring good football."

In the back, Olivier Deschacht and Gert Verheyen fought out a lot of duels. Those duels were correct, but Deschacht wasn't happy with it.
"It's a shame he always tried to give me a foul." Also the referee wasn't good, according to the defender: "He always whistled some fouls, so we couldn't play very quick."
