Plans for stadium in Schaarbeek

The Belgian Railways are intending to allow construction works on their grounds in Schaarbeek, a part of Brussels. They see a multi-functional football stadium, offices and art work as a possibility.


There are also plans to build a motorway to the stadium by using the ring way around Brussels and extending the E19 motorway. The investments will cost over 1 billion euro.

By this, the possibility that Anderlecht will move to Schaarbeek is increasing. Vanden Stock already announced that Schaarbeek is a feasible option.
