Manager mad at criticism

In the football show Studio 1 on Belgian TV, Stéphane Pauwels has severely criticised Anderlecht's transfer policy. Manager Van Holsbeeck has vented his anger at the gratuitous criticism. "I cannot accept what has been said."


"For 45 minutes the club has been criticised. Why was no one of the club invited to counter the criticism?" Van Holsbeeck wondered in Het Laatste Nieuws.

Pauwels criticism was mainly aimed at the club's (failed) transfers of the last years. He questioned the value of players like Van Damme, Von Schlebrügge, Triguinho, Leiva en Ehret.
