Lucas Biglia was moved to tears when he scored his first goal in the Anderlecht shirt from the penalty spot last Saturday. "Lucas is an emotional boy and when he scored several things came up to the surface," says José Garcia.
As their guide and translator, José Garcia is, of course, close to the Argentinians. He explains why Biglia was so moved when he scored against Brussels. "A lot of things went through his mind: his arrival in Belgium, his family, the pressure to score. Don't forget that he's still 21 and that for the first time in his life he is without his family at the other side of the world."
The fact that Biglia had not scored until then, and the critique about his efficiency in the media were a heavy burden to bear. "He is the type that demands a lot of himself, he is an absolute perfectionist. Lucas is not selfish and is always looking to add something to the team. That's why he wanted to score so much. Scoring that first goal was an enormous relief," explained Garcia.
