Vercauteren praises Genk and its coach

It was a surprise for many that Racing Genk could cling on until the end for the race for the title. In fact, few considered them to be a candidate for the title. Coach Vercauteren took the time to praise Genk and Broos.


"I have to congratulate them because without Genk there wouldn't have been such a battle for the title. Broos may have won the coach of the year award, I wouldn't want to trade places with him."

The Anderlecht coach is looking forward to next season as well. "In the first place we should make an effort to keep this group together. The next step should be the Champions League. I know there is a room for progression."
