Olivier Deschacht is looking forward to the end of the competition. The defeat in the cup was hard for him and the left back begins to doubt about a good ending of the competition. “It’s starting too weigh heavy on me.”

Olivier Deschacht is one of the few players in modern football that really worries about his club. The defeat against Standard caused him a sleepless night. “It hurts a lot. I want this cup already for 5 years. We were so close to the final.”

In the meantime Anderlecht have to beat Brussels and Bergen. If they fail, the season will end without any prize. “For five weeks now we play the game of our life. Horrible. We can’t afford a bad game on Saturday.”

The belief in a good ending is there, but he’s still worried: “Imagine if Genk win their 2 coming games and we make a mistake against Brussels or Bergen. It’s starting to be hard. We have more to lose than Genk.”
