Proto allowed to go

Manager Van Holsbeeck has had a meeting with Anderlecht goalkeeper Proto about his future at the club. Chances are that the promising goalie will leave Anderlecht despite his 2010 contract.


The goalkeeper got injured last season and underwent serious knee surgery. Since his return to fitness he did not succeed in achieving a place in the starting line-up, largely due to excellent performances of Zitka.

Possibly Anderlecht would opt to loan the player. Charleroi has already shown its interest in the talented goalkeeper.

In related news, Anderlecht might be looking to contract AA Ghent goalkeeper Herpoel. The club sees him as a potential coach for its youthful goalkeeper.
