Vercauteren: "Two teams were eachother's equal"

Coach Vercauteren was evidently happy with the victory against Standard and stressed the importance of the three points. "This is an important step towards the Champions League. That competition is a must for us."


"Concerning the match, I think both teams were eachother's equal. There were a few small chances and very little space. It wasn't spectacular but it was tense towards the end. We were forced into a defensive position and hope that Standard didn't get lucky with those high balls they dropped in the pack."
