Michel Verschueren, until recently manager of Anderlecht, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award on Sunday during the election of the Sports Personality 2003, because of his great carreer.

Verschueren himself, now 72, reacts delighted: "This is a very beautiful trophy. It shows respect for someone who knew difficult times in his life. But without being dishonest: I helped to accomplish something."

His most beautiful moment is the 25th title with Anderlecht in 2000, and the invitation to go to the royal palace after that title.
The worst moment was the accident in which his wife almost lost her life. Verschueren was the first manager in Belgium to build loges, which was a great success.

Michel Verschueren resigned on 31 December as manager of Anderlecht. But he is still ambitious. He wants to become chairman of the Profliga now.
