At a press conference yesterday Ahmed Hassan talked about his performance against Charleroi and his intention to leave the club: "The fans and the club want me to stay, but I can't decide now."

Earlier the midfielder has claimed that he is intending to leave the club because of private reasons: "I don't want to go into the details about that. I am a professional player and I keep my professional and private life seperated."

The main subject was of course his excellent performance on the field. "I had said earlier that it would take a while before you would see the real Hassan. I was new at the club and of course it takes a while to get acquainted with everyone. There were several new players, so it takes some time before things start going smoothly."

The Egyptian midfielder is slowly turning into a new leader on the pitch as well, a task which comes natural to him. "For a number of years now I bear that responsability for the national team of Egypt. I'm capable to speed up or slow down the game and can give the younger players the necessary confidence."
