Kompany to Lyon? Not yet ...

The Flemish media reported that Kompany had already signed for Lyon. Anderlecht would receive 16 million euro for the defender. It's likely that he'll play for Lyon next season, but all sides deny that a deal was already made.


As we already reported earlier, Lyon's chairman Jean-Michel Aulas, is a good friend of Anderlecht's chairman Roger Vanden Stock. Further, Kompany announced that he would like to go to a top club, like Lyon for example. Further more, the defender has been traveling between Lyon and Brussels in the past month to get his operated shoulder treated.

It's not unlikely that both Anderlecht as Lyon are denying the message. French clubs only announce their new players when the transfer market opens. And Anderlecht prefer to announce their biggest transfer ever themselves.
