Vercauteren stays 4 years longer

Franky Vercauteren has reached an agreement with Anderlecht for another 4 years as assistant coach. He will sign the contract this week.
Vercauteren is becoming more and more important for Anderlecht.


For years he became criticism because the youth didn't get a chance. But because now everything turns out well with a.o. Kompany, Junoir and Deschacht, his star is rising.

Vercauteren played for Anderlecht from 1965 till 1987. Afterwards he was head of the youth in Braine and KV Mechelen. Since 1998 he is back in Brussels, first as trainer of the B's, later as assistant-coach of the A's.
