Herman Van Holsbeeck couldn't convince Hannu Tihinen to stay in Anderlecht. The manager spoke to the defender for four times and even offered him a salary of 12.500 euro per month, but without any success.

"I respect the club and I'm honoured that they tried everything to keep me here, but I'm leaving after this season. I don't know yet to which club. I'll decide over that in May", said Tihinen.

"Hopefully I can win one last title with Anderlecht. But one thing is already certain: I'll never forget this club, the country and its great food."

And what about Walter Baseggio? Will he leave too? After Charleroi, Heracles and Treviso, also Lecce are interested in him. Lecce are ranked last in the Serie A. The club already looked at a video of Baseggio and want to see him at work before the winter break.

Michal Zewlakow on the other hand will probably stay. Manager Herman van Holsbeeck tries to extend his contract. Ajax, Bochum and Hearts were interested in the Polish defender.

Liverpool will scout Vincent Kompany in the game against Betis Sevilla. Kompany was injured when the Mauves met with Liverpool.
