Vanden Borre: "I prefer playing on the midfield"

Anthony Vanden Borre played on the midfield during Saturday's match against Sporting Charleroi. An unusual position for him, because he is a defender. But Vanden Borre was happy with his new role.


"There is less pressure on the midfield. So I prefer playing on that position", he reacted. Nevertheless, Vanden Borre caught an injury and had to be replaced.

"I will undergo an echo on Monday. I will know more then. But I already had a similar injury. I am afraid I will have to miss the game with the national U23-team on Wednesday. It is a pity, because I was really looking forward to it."
