Yesterday, Mitu signed for Anderlecht. The Romanian will play in Brussels for the next three years. He'll wear his beloved number 99. Shortly before the official announcement of his transfer, he already gave an interview.

"I never paniced. If I hadn't signed for Anderlecht, another big club would have showed up. I didn't want to confirm earlier that I had an agreement with the Mauves, because we only agreed about the last details this week."

"My dream has come true. I signed for a great club. Vincent Kompany already welcomed me."

Some wonder if Mitu will be able to function in a club like Anderlecht. Can he handle the high level of play?.

"A lot of people want to see me fail. But I know that trainer Vercauteren has confidence in me. He explained everything clearly. I didn't even have any questions."

Mitu was brought to Brussels as a possible replacement for Zetterberg. So the competition will be hard.
"The trainer said he'll give every one an equal chance. I like that principle. I don't have to play all the time, but I hope I can taste of the Champions League."
