Mpenza wants to stay in Brussels

Mbo Mpenza wants to stay in Anderlecht if he fits into the plans of the trainer. "I know I can't demand a place in the starting line-up, but I want to play now and then", said the striker.


Franky Vercauteren let Mbo play as striker in the last few weeks. Today, he even played for 90 minutes. "Mbo earned that place by training very well", Vercauteren explained.

Mpenza himself is happy with this new evolution. "And by the way, who doesn't need to adapt when joining Anderlecht? I'll be myself again next season!", he added.
