Interest in Popovic

TRANSFERS According to certain media, RSC Anderlecht, is following Boris Popovic, who plays for Cercle Brugge. The 23-year-old central defender played at Tours and AS Monaco and can also act as a defensive midfielder.


Popovic has both the French and Serbian nationality and played 20 games this season, in which he scored one assist. He played for Serbia's youth teams, from U17 to U21, and RSCA sees him as a promising potential investment.

He is also being watched by Genk and France's Brest, who are looking for a replacement for Brasier, who is set to leave the club this summer. The defender still has a contract until June 2025 and his market value is estimated at two million euros.
