Japanese striker Goto close to joining Anderlecht

TRANSFERS Anderlecht is close to signing young Japanese striker Keisuke Goto, according to Het Laatste Nieuws. The 18-year-old played in the Japanese second division and is a youth international for his country. This summer there were also rumors of Goto's arrival.


Goto scored seven goals in 32 games for his club. Júbilo Iwata finished second and therefore promoted to the J-League. There are still European clubs showing interest in Goto, but the 1m91 tall striker would opt for Anderlecht.

It is possible he will be played out at the Futures for a while first.
