Official: Mariman and Verbeke to

YOUTH What was leaked earlier has now been officially announced by Anderlecht: Henk Mariman and Peter Verbeke are coming (back) to Anderlecht to lead the youth operation together with Mikkel Hemmersam. Anderlecht thus anticipates the departure of Jean Kindermans at the end of this season.


Anderlecht has outlined a new structure to lead the academy. Mikkel Hemmersam, at Anderlecht since June, will head the youth academy as Academy Director. Immediately below Hemmersam come two new faces. Henk Mariman comes over from OH Leuven and will become Academy Head of Football. Furthermore, there is the return of Peter Verbeke. He will become Academy Head of Talent & Innovation.

"The new structure, which will later be expanded, must ensure the proper functioning of the Academy in the short and long term," Anderlecht reports. "We have one goal in mind here: to strengthen and further develop the purple and white jeud education."
