A dramatic Anderlecht lost again against Union, the seventh loss in a row. This time the match ended on 2-0. Union, which also saw many key players leave, dominated the first half in which it only scored once. But it could well have been 4-0 at the half-time whistle. Anderlecht were allowed to have the ball after the break, but they only managed to create a few (small) chances in the final phase. In the final seconds, Union converted a penalty putting the 2-0 on the scoreboard.

Union dominated the first half and created many chances. The first one was for Lapoussin after a good action on the left wing but Dupé saved. Later on, Vertonghen prevented two dangerous actions in the box. Nieuwkoop hit the post after 30 minutes, but not much later the goal fell anyway. A goal kick from Moris was centered by Lapoussin where Eckert easily scored. In minute 40 Dreyer got the first chance for Anderlecht with a shot. Before the break, Union hit the post again.

After the break, Anderlecht were allowed to keep the ball more in their own ranks from Union, but they continued to pile up bad passes and lost duels. Attempts by Amuzu and Dryer were blocked while Union easily held on to the lead. The best chance was for Dolberg in the last minutes: he appeared alone in front of the keeper but missed. A late penalty for Union finally secured the victory for the home side.
